In recent weeks and months, when talk turns to the Suits actress Meghan Markle, it tends to focus much more on her relationship with her boyfriend Prince Harry, than it actually does on her acting talent and achievements in the acting industry. However, Meghan has overcome a lot of battles during her rise in the acting industry and she really does deserve a lot of credit for what she has achieved in her career to date.

It is fair to say that there has been a lot of racial discrimination talked about in Hollywood over the years, with many stars coming out to voice their concerns about the issue and share their experiences with it. Now, Meghan Markle has spoken out about the experiences she has faced with racial discrimination in Hollywood, claiming that being biracial has been a barrier to landing certain roles along the way.
Markle explained, "Was I Latina? Sephardic? ‘Exotic Caucasian’? Add the freckles to the mix and it created quite the conundrum. To this day, my pet peeve is when my skin tone is changed and my freckles are airbrushed out of a photo shoot. I will share with you something my dad told me when I was younger: ‘A face without freckles is a night without stars.’"

We have become big fans of Meghan Markle thanks to the success of the hit television series Suits and, while we are more than happy to continue seeing her in the familiar role of Rachel Zane on the small screen, we have missed seeing Meghan on the big screen and we hope that she lands a new movie role in the near future.
