Those of you who are fans of the Bollywood movie industry will be well aware that Karan Johar has been trying to get his latest project Shuddhi off the ground but keeps getting faced with a number of different set backs. It was first claimed that there were delays with production and then there were issues with the cast members Karan had got on board.
Karan Johar is very good friends with actor Hrithik Roshan and actress Kareena Kapoor and he was delighted when the two stars agreed to play the lead roles in his movie Shuddhi. However, both Hrithik and Kareena have since pulled out of the project and there have been suggestions that Karan is no longer on speaking terms with the stars.
Johar has now taken the time to clear the matter up, insisting that there is no truth in the rumours and that he is still good friends with both stars, despite them leaving his movie, "I have a strong relationship with Hrithik and Kareena. I have a deep amount of respect for them, so no film can change the close bond I share with both of them. We are and will continue to be close friends and nothing can come in the way of that," he explained.
Karan Johar has insisted that Shuddhi will be one of the biggest movies that he will ever work on and stated that he will announce his leading man and leading lady shortly. There have been suggestions that Deepika Padukone will replace Kareena Kapoor, although this has not been officially confirmed. We will keep you posted on the progress as we get it.
