The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to impress with every new movie released and some of the stars of these films have become best known for their comic book character roles, becoming fans favourites with people all over the world. When we saw the cast list for the Marvel movie Captain America: Civil War, there were plenty of raised eyebrows at the fact that Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as Hulk would not appear in the film.
This led to many rumours about why the two characters were excluded from Captain America: Civil War, something which Chris Hemsworth has now been talking about. Chris says that he and Mark Ruffalo actually thought they had been fired by Marvel, before they  got reassurance about the importance of their characters to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Hemsworth was chatting to Entertainment Weekly, when he told them, "I was like, ‘What? Are we being fired?’ Marvel quickly reassured us, ‘No you guys have got your own journey going on, and in order for that to work you can’t be a part of this one.’ Look, it turned out just perfect because we got to do a whole different kind of thing we wouldn’t have able to do otherwise."
Well things certainly seem to have worked out well for all involved and, after being hugely impressed with what Marvel managed to do with Captain America: Civil War, we now cannot wait to see what is going to happen in the upcoming new movie Thor: Ragnarok, which is due for release on October 27 in the UK and on November 3 in the US.
